Running Escapes is an independent, tour operator offering bespoke weekend breaks in the most stunning locations across the UK for runners of all ages and abilities.

With almost 20 years experience in the UK travel industry and a passion for running and the great outdoors we will make sure your break meets your exact need and is delivered to the highest of standard.

We can organise every part of your trip from travel, accommodation, meals, run guides and experiences giving you the opportunity to take a break from the stresses of everyday life, take on new adventures, relax and have fun with friends. Our focus is on fun times not finish times.
Meet The Team
Kelly Raven - Owner
Kelly has helped to run the family electrical business with her husband Ian for the past 12 years, however her real passion is running! In her spare time she loves nothing more than getting a group of friends together, lacing up her trainers and hitting the trails. She's also not one to shy away from a challenge having completed many 10ks, half marathons, marathons, ultras and even a 24 hour race! She cant wait to share her love of all things running with you!
Jo Porter - Owner
Jo has worked in specialist group travel for almost 25 years and also is the founder of Sound Escapes UK, offering tailor-made concert tours for music ensembles.
She is an experienced group fitness instructor and has created her own unique music themed fitness classes 'Kitchen Dancing'. Jo is passionate about fitness, running in scenic locations and the rural beauty within the UK. She can't wait to assist you with you tour plans!
Al Porter - Run Leader
Al is an experienced runner and our chief running leader during many of our weekend running breaks. He loves nothing more than the accomplishment of completing a marathon and to date has seven under his belt. His marathon adventures have taken him across Europe taking part in the Paris, Barcelona, Ulm and Amsterdam marathons where he achieved his PB!

Group and Individual Travel Insurance: It is essential that every member of your party has their own individual travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellation. Running Escapes is able to recommend travel insurance for a supplementary cost with Towergate Insurance.

24-hour assistance: In addition to the service of a dedicated accompanying tour manager (if required) Running Escapes will provide 24-hour emergency assistance in the event of unforeseen circumstances
